Bangkok Pediatrics

Bangkok Pediatrics is a medical practice office that focuses on the physical, mental, and social health of children from birth to young adulthood. They develop realistic, functional and coordinated home care plans for the children and families. As a healthcare facility they work to prevent disease and promote the health of the child. Evidence based design gave research and examples of existing pediatric offices in a 20 mile radius. This gave ideas on how these buildings should look and feel for guests. Learning the culture and activities in Thailand helped bring an understanding of how the space should be designed to make occupants feel comfortable. Thailand is reflected through every design decision by incorporating elements of nature, including natural ventilation. All while offering low-tech cost effective solutions like combining controlled natural light and artificial.
